Peabody National rallies late to defeat Danvers National

The Peabody Nationals rallied from four runs down in the top of the sixth inning to take the lead and defeat Danvers National 9-8 last night in Groveland in the District 15 Little League tournament.

"Today is what I consider to be a total team win," said Peabody manager Brian Barrett, who's club will play Beverly East at 7 tonight at Lt. Ross Park in Peabody.

Peabody's Jordan Manthorne capped off the five-run sixth inning with a three-run shot over the fences. Tom Parsons pitched the first four innings for Peabody while Manthorne pitched the final two.

"Everyone on our team hit the ball tonight," said Barrett. "We got contributions up and down the line up.
